Hi everyone! We haven't written for awhile so I thought I'd give you an update. Ten basketball games last week. Won about half of them. Kyler is the worst loser. He is very grumpy so we like it when he wins! I am Annie's coach again this year. We are 2-1 and have improved a ton over three games. Jarom started baseball practice with a new team this year. They practice in the Lazy Boy warehouse in Tremonton. The coach really wanted Jarom to be a part of the team so he comes to pick him up and brings him home afterwards. I think he knew that I didn't want to do that three times a week! Jarom has basketball the other days so he is keeping busy. The only bad news that we have is that our suburban is in the shop again. This time it is the transmission. So today we are trying to decide if it is worth the money to fix it. Hmmmm.
Hope you are all doing well and staying warm!

Hansen Update

Hello everyone. We are enjoying our time here in Springville Ut but I must admit that I am excited to get to warmer Nevada in March. I went to the doctor and he gave a me a due date of July 20th. So if all goes well my dad's dream of a 4 generation 25 year gap will come true. You can ask him if you are totally confused.
Charlie is still loving physical therapy yeah!! I don't have to worry about more schooling. Graduation is going to be here before we know it. Happy late birthday to all the packards and just in case, Happy early birthday to everyone else this year in case i forget to mention it on your actual birthday :)
Macy is getting so big and she loves to sing. She also is learning her ABCs right now and she never ceases to amaze me at how cool learning really is.
Stephanie and Chase we need to get together soon, maybe we could do a double date one night without the kiddos.

Love,
Chelsea

We witnessed a miracle

Today in church we witnessed a miracle. A young father 4 months ago had the H1N1 flu and pneumonia that turned into some respiration disease that I don't remember the name. He had been in ICU and on a ventilator for 3 months and ended up in Denver in a rehabilitation hospital. He finally got back to Pocatello before Christmas in a rehabiltation facility here. Today he was at church walking with a cane and a little skinnier but he was there. What a miracle! Our ward and stake has been praying a fasting for his return to health and we are seeing the answer to those prayers. He is finally home with his wife and 2 little girls (age 3 and 1).

We hope that all of you are doing well and that this new year is going well for all of you. Good luck to all of you who are involved in activities this week.

We survived!

We survived our birthday week at our house. We started with mine and ended with Gary and in between we had Gary's dad and Daniel. Needless to say I am tired of cake and pie. We can now start our New Years resolution to get in shape.

Thanks for all your help with Gary's surprise party. He was very surprised and it was his first one ever. He had a great trip to Cabela's in Lehi and will now be the best dressed hunter in the fall.

Daniel got a tricycle and thinks that it is the greatest thing ever. It is hard for me to believe that he is already 2.

Emmalynn is doing well with preschool and has made great friends with a little girl named Emma and they like having play dates each week. It is fun to see her grow and mature. I can't believe that she will be starting Kindergarten next fall.

We hope all of you are having a great new year. We look forward to hearing from all of you.

Happy Birthday to Daniel and Happy 50th to Gary in a few day!

We hope you both have a great birthday. Even though I wished Laree happy birthday on the phone I will also say Happy Birthday again.

Sounds like we missed a great party in Brigham City. I hear that Brant had a good game. That is awesome.

We are all doing great. Work is picking up. We are looking forward to coming to Brigham City to watch Brant and Kyler play during Presidents weekend. Hopefully, work won't keep me in Meridian.

We love all of you. We are so greatful to belong to such a great family. Sorry we have not posted for awhile. I will do a better job this year of writing. It is my news year resolution to write more often on the blog. I know we all get busy. It is fun to read the posts.

I thought I would share an experience that happened to me about October. After the new Bishop was called he gave his initial talk to the ward. He asked each of us to be a temple going people and promised that we would be blessed for doing so. As I listened to him speak, I had the distinct impression that he was talking to me. I have not been a very frequent temple attender in the past. I ususally went 6 to 12 times a year. When this impression came over me, I decided to comit to go each week while the bishop is the bishop. It has been a very rewarding experience. Each week I attend I feel the spirit. I have time to ponder in the Celestial room and still make it to work before I usually arrive. I know that I am very lucky to live so close to the temple and to have this opportunity. I know that everyone cannot take advantage of this type of opportunity but I want you to know that the Temple is an incredible place to receive peace and refuge. It was amazing the other day while I was there, I was sitting in the temple and decided to stay a little longer. Finally, when I went to leave, I noticed a brother coming into the temple. As we approached each other, I recognized him as one of the missionaries that was in my first apartment on my mission in Mulhouse. I said Elder Aldous how are you doing? He said, you are better at names than me. I said no problem because I probably had changed the most. It was nice to chat with him for a few minutes. As I left the temple, I pondered my decision to linger a little longer and the blessing it gave me to say hi to one of my old missionary buddies. I am thankful for the temple and especially for my wife who has been a great inspiration and example to me in many ways and most notably is in temple attendance. She is a hard act to keep up with.

Thanks for being such a great family. I couldn't have hand picked a better one. I am thankful for the love that we share. I am happy and sad for Diane at this time. I am sad that they couldn't work things out together and seek a gospel solution. However, I am happy that she is trying to make a change in her life and hopefully she will be able to make a difference. My prayers go out on her behalf.

Love Always,

Bryan

Happy New Year

Dear Family,

We just wanted to wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR. A lady in our ward told us that even number years were great years. So here to 2010.

I was hoping that I could enlist Karen & Robin's help for a surprise birthday for Gary. We are coming down Friday night to watch Kyler & Brant and wanted to do Pizza and Cake & ice cream after the game to surprise Gary. I was wondering if Karen could order a cake for me from down there. I will pay you for it when I come Friday. Have some great cake that talks about turning 50, being over the hill, something along that line. Robin, I was wondering if you would be willing to get some balloons and decorate your house on the turning 50 theme. Please let me know what it costs each of you and I will pay you on Friday. I would like to have this as a surprise. I figured we wouldn't expect something the weekend before his birthday. If you can help out let me know.

We are looking forward to seeing you on Friday. Bryan, if you want to come down that would be great to have you there but understand if you can't be there.

We hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday season and that the New Year is starting out well for all of you.

Kyler & Brant, good luck with your upcoming games this week.

Love
Laree & family
