Fun times ahead

We are so excited for the upcoming activities. We love this time of the season to be able to visit with family and share our blessings with others. We are looking forward to Thanksgiving and are so appreciative to Mom and Dad for putting this on. We will bring our swimsuits and fun table games. Do they have racquetball?

I was on the Eagle Board of Review for one of my former scouts tonight. Another one is going to do his Eagle project next week and should be done just under the wire. This will leave only about 2 priests to get their Eagles. There is one priest that will not get his Eagle as he procrastinated too long. I have 5 life scouts in my teacher's quorum that are working on their eagles and we will have 100% Eagles in the teacher's quorum. I will be receiving 4 life scouts this year from the Deacon's quorum and the last of my scouts will come to me as an Eagle scout. When all this is accomplished, I will have seen 26 of my 50 scouts I had as a scoutmster earn the rank of Eagle. Most of the ones who didn't get Eagle were non members who quit, or less active families that moved away before they finished with me or came in too late to get started. That would be a great accomplishment to see these boys do this. I have some work to do to keep them focused.

I can't wait to see everyone for Thanksgiving. It should be a lot of fun.

Love Always, Bryan

Week of Nov 2-7

Hi everyone,

We have had a busy and enjoyable week. Thursday and Saturday we served in the temple in Idaho Falls. Wednesday afternoon we went down to the Isoms and pressed 50 two quart bottles of apple juice. We brought 20 of them home.

Our Board of Directors of the Sons of the Utah pioneers met with our national president and I received a folder so I can begin learning my duty. I hope I am up to he challenge.

Today we attended Emmalynn's primary program. We were really proud of her. She had her part memorized and knew the words to the six songs that were sung. (Way to go Emmalynn).

Grandma has the Daughters of the Utah pioneers in our home Monday so Saturday we had a major house cleaning day. It looked nice when we finished.

Monday I have a five minute dentist appointment in Idaho Falls to check the Titanium Post that he screwed in my mouth. If everything is okay Dr. Harper will build a tooth on it.

Brant and Kyler we wish you well as you start your 2009-2010 basketball season.

Thanksgiving is getting closer. (18 days to go). We hope you all can come.

Love you all!

Dad, Grandpa

Time Change Week end

Dear Family,

We have had a good weekend. Roberta was kind and we went to ISU to watch Poky and Jerome and Blackfoot and Century play. Poky won 35-33. We left at the half of the Blackfoot game they went on to win. The Fifth district lost all play off games except for the one with Poky. Saturday Gary and Laree and Daniel and Emmalynn came to visit. Emmalynn was really cute in ghost costume with her Grandma Packards black wig. Daniel was a Ninja. We had six trick or treaters and Emalynn gave them the treats. After that we had ice cream Sundaes.

Today we left at seven this morning and attended Dick and Rheas meetings. The Bishop asked them to share their thoughts and testimonies. Lisa was scared but did a nice job. The had a lovely meal with Roast Beef, potatoes and gray, peas and carrots plus an excellent salad bar. The food was great. Allison and Tristin were the from Meridian. Tristin will be freshman at Mt View next year. Todd and Katrina and boys came and Les and his family were there from Salt Lake.

I visited with Les and he would like to look at to get Derek's Resume. Bryan I think this is a good opportunity for Derek to expand his net work. Could you get the email addresses for them.

Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment at 8:00 a.m. in Idaho falls to get the titanium pin put in my mouth so the dentist can build me a new tooth. They drill a hole in my jaw and then screw the pin I don't know how long it will take before they can put the tooth on.

You Mom wore her new outfit she bought at BYU homecoming. She looks terrific. It was the best thing that happened at BYU. No offense to Derek and Josalyn we really enjoyed visiting with them at dinner.

Enough for the week end report. We love each of you!

Dad, and grandpa

How is the family?

Well two months left of 2009 and they are some of my favorite months of the year. We had a lot of fun for Halloween. We carved pumpkins. We did an okay job and wished Derek was with us as he always does such an awesome job with pumpkins. I am getting excited for Thanksgiving and Kyler's Eagle Scout Court of honor. We have a lot of things ahead of us from a work, family and life standpoint. We are planning a little get away this weekend to the Menlove's cabin in Garden Valley. Michele, Chelsea, Macy will be taking a quick trip to Provo to see Josalyn in her fall concert at BYU. I have my favorite campout of the year coming up the weekend of the 13th and 14th. We are going to Bruneau Sand Dunes. If any one else wants to come, please do. We would love to have some other scouts of the family come and climb the highest sand dune in north america. Thanksgiving will be the next big event and then another quick trip to Provo to watch Josalyn's Christmas concert. I will have quarter end and then Christmas. I am not looking forward to Chelsea, Charlie and Macy leaving our home. I am going to try to slow the clock down. It has been a very enjoyable and fun experience having them in our home. What a treat for grandparents. I now will never question why grandparents let their kids move back home. I have been in heaven. It is so much fun to see your grandchild develop and grow right before your eyes. Christmas will be fun as I think I will be off work again from the day before Christmas to New Years.

Karen, congratulations on your weight loss. I am still trying to lose the cruise weight yet alone another 90+ pounds but I will try to follow your example. I am in the first week of my diet and am getting close to my pre cruise weight so I will only have 90 to go also. My goal is to be there by the end of 2010.

I am enjoying basketball and racquetball. It has been fun having Charlie as a basketball and racquetball partner. It makes playing a lot easier. The only problem is that he is now winning more games than me each time we play.

Laree, good to hear about your heart. I hope you regain your strength. I am not suggesting that you have sleep apnea but sometimes sleeping disorders can cause you to be tired. See if the doctor believes this is a possibility if the other is ruled out.

Mom and Dad, way to go on figuring out the blog. It sounds like you have been very busy. I need you to come to Boise again as things always get done when you are here. :-) We appreciate all you do when you come and it means a lot. Thanks for always supporting our children.

Kaitlyn did well in her Band Competition. They finished 4th out of the big school bands and most likely 5th or 6th overall the bands.

We look forward to Thanksgiving! We love all of you!
